Areas I Support

Insurance across the Northern Rivers

I am Vanessa Pardo, an Authorised Representative living and working right here in the Northern Rivers. From my base near the Tweed Valley, I look after clients across a wide stretch of country, from Casino out through the Richmond Valley, up into the Kyogle hills, across the Border Ranges, down the Tweed Valley and along the Tweed Coast.

This part of the world is not one place. It is dozens of small towns and villages, each with its own character, its own weather and its own way of doing things. A cane grower at Condong faces very different pressures to a cafe owner at Kingscliff, a horse property tucked behind Uki, a young family in Ocean Shores or a small business trading out of Casino. I take the time to understand where you actually live and work, and I build the conversation around that.

My role is to help you understand the cover options that are available to you, walk through what they include and what they exclude, and make sure the arrangements you put in place actually reflect the place you live. I do not use jargon, I do not push, and I do not rush. I would rather have one long, honest conversation now than a rushed claim conversation later.

Below you will find the towns, villages and postcodes I regularly support. Each area has its own page with a little about the community and how I like to work with people there. If your area is not listed and you are anywhere in the Northern Rivers, please still reach out. I am almost certainly still able to help.

The country I know

I grew up in Bendigo and made the move to the Northern Rivers in 2021. Between those two chapters, I have spent my life in regional communities where you tend to see the same people at the shops, at the footy, at the school gate and at work. That has shaped how I look after clients. Insurance is not a transaction to me, it is a relationship, and relationships are built by turning up, listening and following through.

Living locally means I know the roads, the river systems, the storm seasons and the way summer heat and winter frosts shape a property. I know that a shed on a Kyogle hillside is a different proposition to a beach house at Cabarita, and I know that a farm gate at Woodenbong is a long way from the nearest tow truck. Those little realities are the ones that matter when it comes time to sit down and talk about cover.

How I like to work

My default is a proper face to face conversation. I am happy to come out to your property, meet at your kitchen table, catch up at a local cafe or drop into your shop. Where a visit is not practical, a phone call or a video chat works just as well. What matters is that we take the time to understand your situation before we talk about policies.

I look after people with homes, contents, cars, farms, small businesses, sheds, boats, trailers and everything in between. If you are not sure what you actually need, that is a good place to start. I will listen, ask questions, and help you make sense of the cover options that are available to you.

Every town, every postcode

The list below covers the postcodes and localities I most often support across the Richmond Valley, Kyogle, the Tweed Valley, Tweed Heads, the Tweed hinterland and the Tweed Coast. Choose your town to read a little about it and how I can help.

Insurance Casino and the Richmond Valley

Casino sits at the heart of the Richmond Valley, a working town built around beef, timber and the rhythms of the surrounding farms. The wider 2470 postcode stretches out across small villages, creek country and cattle properties where families have often held the same land for generations.

Insurance Kyogle and the upper Richmond

Kyogle and its neighbouring villages sit in the folds of the Border Ranges, a mix of dairy country, timber, small farms and quiet bush blocks. It is a part of the world where the drive between paddocks can be long, and the community feel is close.

Insurance Urbenville and the Tooloom country

The 2475 postcode covers Urbenville and the small holdings tucked around Tooloom and Wallaby Creek. It is remote, high country with a strong farming and forestry history and a tight local community.

Insurance Woodenbong and the border country

Woodenbong and the surrounding villages sit right on the Queensland border, wrapped by national park and rolling grazing land. Life here is quiet, practical and shaped by the seasons.

Insurance Mullumbimby and the Brunswick Valley

Mullumbimby and the villages of the Brunswick Valley mix small farms, creative small business and family homes tucked into the hills behind Byron. It is a part of the Northern Rivers where local relationships and word of mouth still count for a lot.

Insurance Brunswick Heads and Ocean Shores

The 2483 postcode reaches from Brunswick Heads and Ocean Shores through the small coastal villages of Billinudgel, Mooball and New Brighton. It is a stretch of coast that is equal parts family homes, holiday lets and small local businesses.

Insurance Murwillumbah and the Tweed Valley

Murwillumbah sits under the shadow of Wollumbin (Mount Warning), the heart of the Tweed Valley. The wider 2484 postcode wraps the valley in cane, cattle, tropical fruit and small holdings, with villages tucked into the folds of the caldera.

Insurance Tweed Heads

Tweed Heads is a busy coastal town on the New South Wales side of the border, home to families, retirees and small businesses of every stripe. The pace is coastal, the community is broad, and insurance conversations here often cross state lines.

Insurance Banora Point and the Tweed hinterland

Banora Point, Terranora and the villages around Bilambil and Cobaki sit in the hills and estuaries behind Tweed Heads. It is a mix of established family neighbourhoods, small farms and quiet acreage properties.

Insurance Kingscliff and the Tweed Coast

Kingscliff, Casuarina, Cudgen and the villages of the Tweed Coast stretch along a beautiful run of beaches and farmland. It is home to growing families, coastal small businesses and a strong local community.

Insurance Cabarita Beach and Bogangar

Cabarita Beach and Bogangar make up one of the most relaxed pockets of the Tweed Coast. It is a place of family homes, holiday houses and small local operators who know their neighbours.

Insurance Pottsville and Hastings Point

Pottsville Beach and Hastings Point are quiet coastal villages, popular with young families and long time locals alike. The community is close, and life is lived close to the water.

Insurance Tumbulgum and the lower Tweed

Tumbulgum sits where the Tweed and Rous rivers meet, a small village surrounded by cane country and river flats. It is one of those places where a wave from the verandah still means something.

Not on the list

If your town is not shown above and you are anywhere in the Northern Rivers or the border country, please still get in touch. The list is a guide, not a fence. I am regularly out on the road across this region, and I would rather hear from you and work out how I can help than have you assume the answer is no.

My promise is simple. I will listen, I will keep things in plain language, and I will be there when you need me. Whether you are in a river village near Casino, a small holding at Wiangaree, a cane farm outside Murwillumbah or a beach house at Pottsville, you will get the same unhurried, personal service.
